Wheelchair access
Hotel Uyah Amed & Spa Resort provides access for people with special needs. People in wheelchairs can get around without help from street level to the lobby, our restaurant “Café Garam”, the beach pool with its salt bar and to our lounge without stairs since we have installed ramps. We provide a wooden ramp for the access to our ocean view bungalows and ocean view family villas. Due to a lack of space we cannot install wooden ramps at our poolside bungalows! The entrance doors are 80 cm wide and the door to the bathroom is 70 cm wide. We had several guest with wheelchairs and received positive remarks. The ramps make lives also easier for people with small children and baby strollers!

While in Hotel Uyah Amed & Spa Resort you should use the opportunity to see the sky again. Since there is little light pollution at our large garden you may see the beautiful world of stars in the southern hemisphere. Come and look at the incredible sky!
Traditional Salt Panning
You may wish to learn about the traditional salt panning process conducted in Amed either on our display table in Café Garam with the traditional salt processing facilities in its center or visit the real salt processing on our premises during dry season, when the delicious Amed sea salt, a real gourmet salt, is panned by the people from Amed. You may also like to bring some of our delicious sea salt home!

Hotel Uyah Amed, the ECO friendly Hotel, strives to protect the environment and maintains an Environmental Management System. We make various ECO programs and do, among others, composting to recycle our organic waste. The compost is used for our Organic garden – the fruit we harvest are served in our Café Garam as fresh fruit or fresh fruit juices!
Hotel Uyah Amed & SPA Resort has one beautiful 10 m pool in an open tropical garden and a second large 18 m swimming pool including a special part for small children right at the beach with a gorgeous view on Mount Agung. At the beach pool is our Amed Salt Bar equipped with a large 42 inch LED-TV screen for viewing sports events or other programs of interest. You may also watch a movie from DVD.
